On March 19, 2025, the Ethiopian Adventist College (EAC) had the privilege of hosting esteemed visitors from the Southern Asia Pacific Division (SSD) for a few hours. The visit allowed for meaningful interactions between the SSD administration and EAC’s faculty and staff.
The guest delegation included notable SSD officers: Pr. Roger O. Caderma, SSD President; Pr. Wendell Wilcox Mandolang, SSD Executive Secretary; and Pr. Jacinto M. Adap, SSD Treasurer. Additionally, eight Union Presidents from the SSD visited Ethiopia for the first time, including Pr. Gerardo L. Cajobe, President of the Southern Luzon Philippine Union Mission; Pr. Yotam Bindosano, President of the East Indonesia Union Conference; Pr. Jerry Patalinhug, President of the Southwestern Philippine Union Conference; Pr. Daniel A. Malabad, President of the Northern Luzon Philippine Union Mission; and Pr. Abel Bana, President of the Malaysia Adventist Union Mission.
The visitors were warmly welcomed by the EAC Pathfinder Club before proceeding to the meeting room for a brief visit and a fellowship meal. Dr. Abraham Dalu, President of EAC, officially welcomed the guests. During the gathering, Pr. Caderma emphasized the mission of supporting EAC’s efforts, stating, “Our mission is to support your mission.” He highlighted the college’s commitment to providing holistic education and reminded the faculty and staff of their integral role in nurturing the future leaders of the church. He stressed the importance of collaboration between various Divisions and churches to fulfill the gospel commission of Christ, conveying that “Alone we do so little. Unity is the strength of the church.” The meeting concluded with the presentation of college souvenirs by Dr. Mardianto H. Marpaung, EAC Vice President of Institutional Advancement, Dr. Ester Karosekali, and Mrs. Aster Dalu. The gathering was capped off with a delightful fellowship meal, bringing the visit to a joyful close.
