The Office of Quality Assurance (QA) at Ethiopia Adventist College (EAC) is dedicated to ensuring that the College upholds the highest standards of academic quality, institutional performance, and service delivery. Guided by the College’s motto, “Education for Service,” the QA Office works to promote a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement across all academic and administrative units.

Mission

To promote and sustain quality education and services through systematic evaluation, monitoring, and enhancement of academic standards and institutional processes in alignment with national and international benchmarks.

Core Objectives

  • Ensure that teaching, learning, research, and community service meet national higher education standards and Adventist educational values.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor quality assurance policies, procedures, and frameworks across the College.
  • Conduct regular internal quality audits and self-assessments to enhance institutional effectiveness.
  • Facilitate capacity building and training programs for faculty and staff in quality management and best practices.
  • Support continuous improvement through data-driven decision-making and performance evaluation.
  • Strengthen stakeholder engagement, including students, staff, alumni, and external partners, in quality enhancement initiatives.

Key Functions

The Office of Quality Assurance plays a vital role in:

  • Accreditation and Compliance: Ensuring the College meets standards set by the Education and Training Authority (ETA) and Adventist Accreditation Association (AAA) regulatory bodies.
  • Curriculum Review and Evaluation: Coordinating periodic academic program reviews to maintain relevance and competitiveness.
  • Performance Assessment: Monitoring the quality of teaching, learning resources, and administrative services.
  • Data Management and Reporting: Collecting and analyzing institutional data for informed planning and decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Feedback: Gathering input from students, faculty, and employers to improve academic and support services.
  • Internal Quality Audits: Conducting scheduled reviews to assess adherence to institutional quality standards.
